Generation II Home Builders is a second generation company specializing in the design and construction of custom homes. The company, which now bears the name Generation II Home Builders began more than 45 years ago when Dean and Joyce Melton, newly married, settled in rural Navarro County. Dean Melton began building and remodeling homes in and around Corsicana, Texas. Eventually two sons were born and in time, became partners in his business, Dean Melton & Sons Construction.

In 1992 Mr. Melton retired from active participation in the business leaving day to day operations to his sons, Dennis and Marcus Melton. A partnership was legally formed that year between Dennis and Marcus using the name Generation II Home Builders. In 1995 Generation II Home Builders moved to a store front office/showroom in Corsicana, Texas and formed a corporation under the name Gen2 Const. Co., Inc.
